Indigo Dynamo versus Grysica - Supplemental

A commissioner who wishes to remain anonymous wanted to see another image from the Indigo Dynamo versus Grysica series (which was also a commission). Specifically he wanted to see an image that followed Indy's chloroforming but preceded her (supposed) capitulation—in other words, some of the fun and games in between the original series' image 1 and image 2. I was happy to oblige; more sexy stuff with two curvy redheads? Fun!

An interesting thing happened. He liked the initial image but asked if I could alter it to have ID throw her head back more to imply a more powerful orgasm, and paid for that second render. Rather than waste a render (and his money), I turned them into a two-image series which you can see below. Hope you enjoy them.

Monsieur Mort and More

First off here's the second image (link to the first) in a sequence featuring my newest villain, Voodoo master Monsieur Mort (as named by my D.A. watchers based on their suggestions and a poll).

Since there's no penetration depicted I probably could have got away with posting it on D.A. but the text makes it pretty clear what's going on so I'd rather not risk it. Plus the tone is a little darker than my usual artwork so I think it's better off here and at the Wizard's Lair.

I would like to continue this series but it will have to wait. I have some content in mind for it which would allow me to depict some malevolent supernatural forces tormenting poor Duster but I don't own it yet. I always wait for stuff to go on sale before buying since the Daz Store has sales so frequently.

Now for some other stuff, starting with some high-quality renders that didn't quite come up to snuff for posting at D.A.

Recently I came across a (free!) sexy sweater clothing prop called a "virgin killer". They've become something of a thing lately. Far be it from me to resist the zeitgeist when it's on a roll. So I depicted my girl Candy/Duster in said clothing item. That wasn't my first kick at that particular can:

I think you can see why I modified the angle and pose. From the front you can see that the fabric doesn't drape correctly (though I may now have a tool that helps in that regard). This is partly because this clothing was designed for the Genesis 3 Female figure and Duster is based on Genesis 2. And second, the sweater's main feature is the low-plunging back that just about reveals her tush. So the version I posted on D.A. is, I think, much better. But this blog is also a place where I post failed experiments, among other things.

Now those of you who follow me on D.A. will know that one of my favourite fellow Deviants is Cracoviia, who is a wonderful writer and creates fun, colourful whimsical art as well (though lately she's been tugging at my heartstrings with both, the little minx). She is also a prolific and thoughtful commenter on others' work at D.A., including my own. So I have, in recognition of and in return for everything she does, created digital versions of several of her characters, especially her eponymous heroic avatar. Recently I re-designed my version of Cracovia to make her, well, sexier and to make her costume more like the one Cracoviia depicts in her art. You can see the new version of Cracovia HERE, but below is a preliminary, half-way done version.

The main difference from the final version is that I replaced the crest on her belly with hussar wings and crowns on her costume's lapels and collar, which as I said is truer to how Cracovia depicts her costume. I also changed the base figure used from Victoria 6 to Elle. Don't get me wrong, Vicky 6 is beautiful, but I think you'll agree Elle is more glamorous. In fact she bears a strong resemblance to Jennifer Lawrence. As pretty as she is, this new Cracovia is still tall and strong and could kick your ass, so don't get on her bad side. You wouldn't like her when she's angry. Speaking of which...

As part of my Reap the Whirlwind serial I created an "evil Cracovia" (whom her creator cleverly named "Darkovia" very quickly) whom you can see in action HERE. Below is a preliminary render of "Darkovia" for your enjoyment.

There is one difference between this and the final version: this image still uses my Victoria 6-based first version of Cracovia while the serial uses the Elle-based one. In case you haven't figured it out, my concept of Darkovia is that the psychological torture that evil, mind-controlled Duster's master put her through has reduced her to little more than a Hulk-style rage machine. Cracovia SMASH!!

Now for a few test renders.

First up is an alternative texture/shader for Duster's costume. I don't know if I'll use it for Duster but it looks pretty cool so I'll definitely use it sometime.

Next, a little over a month ago I posted my version of Black Widow at D.A. using a figure that closely resembles Scarlett Johansson. Yes, I do need to get around to doing something more with her. To tide you over, here's a test image of that character chained up somewhere.

Finally, one of my most frequent commissioners of custom artwork has been M-Hadley. He has a big stable of original superheroines it's been my honour to depict. One of my favourites was a "guest star" in a recent comic cover image. She's called Sirius and she's a part-cat jungle girl. I really liked her so I'm definitely going to do more with her in future. Though she's directly based on Monique 6 (just like my OC heroine Midnight Avenger), she has a distinct look all her own. Here's a test render I shared with M-Hadley which he approved as the final version of the character.

...and that's it for now!

The next blog post should feature a naughty behind-the-scenes image from Reap the Whirlwind as well as some art I've created depicting scenes from my next superheroine-in-peril novel, Game Theory.

Afterburner 2 and some alternates

First off, the reason you're here. As promised, another camera angle of Duster in the "Afterburner" BDSM device.

It wasn't as easy to achieve this image as I thought it would be. There's a lot of stuff in the way on that device. I also had to alter Duster's pose so, er, everything, ah, "lined up" properly. Still, as I said I want to get more than one use out of the device, so here we are. I'm sure I'll use it again with another heroine sometime. Maybe just as a threat she's getting dragged toward...

Now for the extras.

First off, here's a HQ render of Duster as she looks in my upcoming superheroine-in-peril novel Game Theory. This is a solo, larger, higher-quality version of the multi-angle view I previously posted at D.A. My friend EXitZero is using a different camera angle of this image for the book's cover art.

In case you're not aware, Game Theory is a commissioned novel. The fan footing the bill had many specific things he wanted to see which I thought made Duster seem like a somewhat different character than how I've depicted her in the past: angrier, more vengeful and ruthless. So I came up with an explanation for that and I regard this as an "alternative universe" Duster. Visually I tried to depict this character change with an edgier look. She's more buffed up, her costume's darker, and she uses her sex appeal as a weapon.

If you follow me on D.A. you may have recently seen me post my version of Black Widow, which is very much based upon the MCU version and a certain actress. Here's an image of that same figure in a BDSM situation. I intended this to be Black Widow again, sporting something more like her Winter Soldier hairstyle.

For those of you who care about such things this is actually the Victoria 4 version of the figure. After I rendered this image I obtained the utilities needed to transfer the face and body morphs as well as the skin from V4 to a Genesis 2 figure, which is what I used for the Black Widow image I posted recently. I was originally going to post this BDSM image at D.A. but once it was done I suddenly felt inspired to swap Scarl... er... Black Widow out and substitute Duster in, which led to this more elaborate image.

Finally you might be following my commissioned series I'm posting at D.A. featuring Hispanic powerhouse Xiomara taking on a Mesoamerican sorcerer. This series was commissioned by fellow Deviant Doghungry and we went through some initial false starts with it. Some of those got fully rendered. Rather than leave them unseen I thought I'd share them here. So below are the initial, alternative versions of the final images that wound up on D.A. The first one is a variation of the first image with a very different building that looks more medieval than Mesoamerican.

Next up are two alternative versions of image #3. The first alternate again features a very different building with something of a generic architectural look... could be medieval or fantasy, but it definitely doesn't have a central American feel. You'll also notice that we first tried using demons rather than lizard-men as Tlaloc's henchmen. Slightly different effects too.

Here's another slight variation of the posted, final third image. The main difference from the final version is that there's a bloody corpose on the altar. Doghungry wanted this to be Xiomara's kidnapped (but still very much alive) roommate Amaranta instead. So the blood stains got removed.

Comparing it to the initial version above, obviously the environment has a much more authentically Mesoamerican look. That was the result of a great Daz Studio set going on sale (very timely, that). I also prefer the skewed camera angle and Xiomara has a slightly more dynamic pose that does a better job of showing off both her figure and her considerable musculature. I don't usually go in for muscle babes, but that's what the commissioner wanted. Different strokes and all that, right? ;)

Finally here's the alternate version of the fourth image in the series, again using that more generic set and the demons instead of the lizard-men. And no kidnapped friend to raise the stakes. If you compare it to the final version you'll see that I basically just swapped out the set and figures while keeping Xiomara and Tlaloc (and the camera and lights) in the same positions.

I think the newer versions posted on D.A. are a big improvement. In fact I think the D.A. versions of images 3 and 4 are a couple of the best action scenes I've done so far and I'm quite proud of them.

Finally, as usual, a few rough-rendered costume tests featuring Duster because whatever else Daz Studio may be it's also a digital (adult) version of Barbie's dress-up closet. ;)

...and that's all for now, folks!

Afterburner and Some Alternates and Extras

"Afterburner" is the name of this bondage prop I recently got 'cause, y'know, Christmas and all. (Sometimes when you're an adult you just go out and get your own gifts.) I think Duster looks great in it. It's very distinctive-looking but I don't want to get just one use out of it. So in future I plan on returning to this scene to render other images from it: different angles (like the one the Dungeon Master's assistants are enjoying) and other ways her captors can torment her while she's locked into this rig. No you can't see any penetration from this angle but it's very much implied and that's why it's here rather than at DA.

Technical notes: I usually have Duster's Genesis 2 Female figure locked to a 95% scale which roughly corresponds to the 5' 7" height I have established for her in fiction and in her profile. But to position her properly in the afterburner I had to increase her to the default 100% scale which roughly corresponds to about 5' 10.5". Since she's not standing up next to anyone it isn't noticeable, and I'm finding it to be a necessary step with many of these bondage rig props which are sized to the default G2F proportions.

Now for some other stuff.

First up, an alternative version of this image featuring Antileaf-Artworks' Violet Spike and my OC Jack Flash:

I changed Vi's position in the version I posted on DA because if you look closely at Vi's breasts here (like you need any encouragement) you'll notice my one complaint about her costume: not enough polygons. Maybe it's because it's a Poser prop I'm using in Daz Studio. It's why I have tried, without success thus far, to transfer the pattern onto a clothing set that makes her look less like an early-90s console game heroine. It's also why I've tired creating alternative costumes for her (also so I can work with her as my preferred G2F figure rather than Victoria 4.2). I still prefer her distinctive original look, though.

Second, a while ago I acquired yet another harem outfit (sheesh, obsess much?) and posted this image. Below is a relatively high quality test render I did of Duster in the same outfit. I love how her breasts look in this costume. Yes, I like breasts. I'm a breast man. And you're what, shocked and surprised? Shut up and look at the titties.

Now for those of you who like your women more muscular—and I know you're out there—you're probably going to enjoy this next image. This fashionably fit female is called Xiomara and she's the original character of DA member Doghungry who has commissioned me to create a five-image sequence featuring the character. So you have that to look forward to. (Yes, she's supposed to look like a MMA fighter.)

In the spirit of the season someone gifted me with another bunny girl outfit, so here's a test image of Duster dressed in it. Love the nylons. I'm sure I'll use it in some other images soon...

And finally here are some rough renders of Duster in a few more sexy fantasy outfits. I'll be looking for opportunities to make use of these in my Raiders of the Lost Eye comic sometime. Yes, the girls of the Night Watch may finally get some costume changes, but probably not into the less revealing togs they've been hoping for...

Technophilia

"Technophilia" is the name of a series of very cool content packages originally designed for Poser and the Victoria 4 figure. I recently obtained a couple of them for free from the Daz store. (An early Christmas present from Daz! Thanks, guys...) Technophilia Volume 1 has the tentacle parts while Technophilia Volume 2 has a bunch of poses for both the tentacles and for Vicky 4. Let me tell you, posing tentacles in Daz Studio can be incredibly pain-staking and time-consuming, so finding a package of poses for them is a real blessing. As for the actor, fortunately Vicky 4 poses can be used on Genesis 2 figures (such as my girl Duster) with just a bit of tweaking to make them look right.

Above is the final image. I applied some Iray metal and rubber shaders to the tentacle to make it all shiny and cool looking. The rest of the set is from the wonderfully versatile Dreadworks 4 Core Pack. And of course the goons of Brute Force, looking on, are inspired by characters originally created by my friend and frequent collaborator EXitZero.

I thought I'd add a couple of other preliminary renders to share some of my process for those who are interested.

This is a rough render of just Duster and the tentacles. I had to adjust her torso and legs a bit from the V4 pose but other than that she fit the tentacles' pose perfectly. Then I did some work on her arms; the V4 pose had her flailing her arms uselessly but I thought it looked better if Dusty was wrestling with the vile tentacle. And of course I added her horrified expression.

For the tentacle I added that "Head Implanter", as it's called, and then adjusted the tentacle position a little so it went where it was always meant to go. The Vol. 1 pack, by the way, has five other fun attachments: a claw, a needle, a saw, an eye, and a sucker. Next time I'll use multiple tentacles so I can throw in more of those toys.

I moved my camera around until I found what I thought was the perfect angle: one that captured her facial expression, breasts, and nether regions. I did the test render to make sure it looked good, which it did. With that done it was time to build a set around her.

So here's the next step, adding the container tank from the Dreadworks set. I had to enlarge it a bit and bring down Duster's right foot in order to make her fit inside the glass. I tried applying Daz' default Iray glass shader to the glass but that horrifically distorted the way Duster looked. It's a funny shader, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The Dreadworks set has some Iray lights built into it and originally I was just going to use those, but I did a test render (not included here) and decided against it. One of the problems I find with using Iray emissive lights as opposed to regular lights (spot lights and such) is that Iray lights seem to make the final image a lot grainier, and the render takes longer. Maybe when I get a better PC with more powerful graphics cards (as I plan to do next year) it won't be such a problem.

Now here, just for the sake of comparison, is the final render in .PNG format.

Right away you'll notice that it's much darker than the final version. I almost always add a "screen" copy of the base image in postwork (using GIMP) which lightens everything up; it's faster and easier than mucking around with the brightness and contrast settings. Though I do use those for a "glow" overlay as well. The other thing I did, which I often have to do with darker images, is painstakingly use the "Despeckle" tool to eliminate all the bright pixels or "fireflies". If you zoom in you'll see them, especially on Duster's butt and the Brutes' chests.

Last of all I added my little logo in the lower right corner, a gift from another friend (and new dad), the incomporable RenderPretender.

Oh... if you check the file name you might wonder why I called it "Technophilia 02". Well, first of all because while I do have a "Technophilia 1" image created with Duster and the tentacles in a different pose, I didn't like it as much. But I may come back to it sometime. And second, of course I'm going to create more of these! There are 20 tentacle/Vicky poses in that Vol. 2 package! FUN!

Bride of Image Dump: More Clothing and Other Tests

Time to share some more test renders not yet ready for prime time... or, at least, Deviant Art.

Starting with Duster sporting a couple of new hair styles, just for fun:

I'm always looking to see if I can find a hair prop that's even closer to the style Miss January '79 wore, but so far I haven't really found anything better than what I'm currently using. That's fine, I know I'll use the hair prop for another character sooner or later.

Well that would be a different look for Candy/Duster, but a girl's got the right to change her hairstyle. Ya never know.

Recently as I went on about my thing for fishnets at DA someone asked why Duster doesn't wear them. So I gave them a try. I don't really think they work for her.

Just for a change of pace here's my OC villainess Pheramona in a different outfit than her usual one:

And finally a few random clothing tests featuring Candy/Duster in outfits of varying degrees of sexiness...

I quite like that low-cut pink number. The eagle-eyed among you may notice that I was playing with the shaping controls and made her hips a little wider in that image, just to see what that would look like.

Some more:

Yes, Savage Land Duster in the middle there!

That last outfit is the free portion of a full Harley Quinn outfit I just might have to invest in.

And that's all for now!

Consensual Part 2

So yes, another image of Candy/Duster and Bill/Black Phantom engaging in their favourite recreational activity. Sorry, no bondage, no non-consensual stuff, just a happy couple gettin' it on.

My desire to portray such a scene guided my choice of expression for Candy. I was tempted to go with a more erotic facial expression but in my experience making love with a beloved partner is more than just sensual, it's also fun. There's a lot of smiling and giggling and joking around. So this is my attempt to portray such a moment.
